Rader Engineering Employees

Drew
Drew was raised in Ohio and studied the violin at age 5 and learned to ski at age 6. He received his BSME from The Ohio State University. He will tell you that skiing was always more fun than practicing the violin and he finally moved to Colorado in 1991 to further pursue his engineering profession and be able to enjoy skiing in his back yard. He started Rader Engineering in 1995 and has his Professional Engineering license in Colorado and several other western states. He also enjoys biking, piloting his single engine aircraft and travel. Drew was also a lift inspector for the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board from 2000 – 2022 while successfully running and growing his engineering company. Drew’s motto is to work hard and play hard.

Adam
Adam has been passionate about all things mechanical since childhood. While most kids wished for a PlayStation, he asked for a welder—sparking a lifelong interest in building and problem-solving. Over the years, he has restored two boats and a 1966 Mustang. He holds a BSME from Old Dominion University and an M.Eng. from Stevens Institute of Technology, combining practical experience with advanced technical training. Today, Adam applies that foundation to every project he is involved in. When he’s not working, Adam enjoys skiing with his wife on Aspen’s four mountains and, as of late, spending time with his newborn son James. When he does get free time, he dives into ongoing home renovation projects. For him, engineering isn’t just a profession—it’s part of who he is.

Alex
Alex is a licensed Professional Engineer who joined Rader Engineering in spring 2025. With a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and a 2022 PE license, he brings experience across various design projects—commercial, residential, multifamily, office, and more. Originally from Columbia, Missouri, Alex grew up around mechanical systems in his father’s MEP firm. That early exposure inspired him to pursue engineering and follow his passion to Colorado’s mountains. After an initial stint in the Vail Valley, he returned, eager to raise his family in this great community. Outside the office, Alex can be found snowboarding, mountain biking, and hiking 14ers with his wife, their dog, and one-year-old daughter—enjoying every moment in the place they now call home.

Josh
Josh was born and raised in the Roaring Fork Valley. Throughout his life, Josh has always been around the construction industry. Whether it be home remodels, grandpa’s construction company, grandma’s flooring business, or his brother’s construction company, building and expanding his community has been integral to his personal and professional growth. Outside of the office, Josh enjoys competing in and watching sports, spending quality time with family and friends, and playing a wide variety of video games.

Dmitry
Dmitry enjoys hands-on problem-solving and figuring out how things work, especially when it comes to car design and mechanical systems. He approaches challenges with a calm, focused mindset and looks for practical, well-thought-out solutions. Outside of work, he spends as much time as he can outdoors—skiing, hiking, biking, and finding peace in nature. Driven by curiosity and a love for learning, Dmitry values staying organized and working with people who take pride in what they do.
Wilder Engineering Employees
Wilder Engineering has provided all electrical engineering services and has worked closely with Rader since 2015.

Andy
Growing up Andy spent time as a laborer and carpenter for his stepdad’s construction company in Steamboat Springs. After high school, he went to the University of Colorado and received his BS in Architectural Engineering. After graduating Andy moved to San Francisco and worked for two separate MEP firms gaining experience in the commercial, residential and light industrial sectors. In 2013 Andy moved back to Steamboat Springs and started working on his own in the electrical engineering field. Outside of work Andy enjoys skiing, playing golf and spending as much time as possible with his family and being outdoors.

Mark
Mark spent time as a laborer and carpenter for his dad’s residential construction company in Steamboat Springs before heading off to undergraduate at the University of Colorado where he received a bachelor’s degree in environmental design (architecture). After some time in the military, Mark returned to school and received a master’s degree in construction management from Colorado State University. His construction and design experience ranges from small residential remodels and large custom homes to schools, apartment buildings, and high-rise commercial buildings in downtown Denver. Outside of work he can be found in his woodshop working on new projects, getting exercise at the gym or on the trails, and spending quality time with his wife, three young children and their menagerie of pets.
